Prayer
- At Vatsalya Concept School, the day begins first with a prayer to God.
- Prayer is a conversation between children and God. The meaning of each and every word in the prayer is explained to the students, and they are shown what they are saying or requesting to God through the prayer.
- During the prayer, the children experience the feeling that God is definitely listening to them.
- Every student and teacher prays together with their eyes closed, peacefully and wholeheartedly.
Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Shlokas
- During the prayer, students have to memorize the Shlokas of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and always recite them.
- Every student of Vatsalya Concept School always keeps a small book of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita with them.
- All students from KG to Standard 8 can recite from 1 to 25 or even more Shlokas of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita from memory.
- During the prayer, students are told about incidents and stories from scriptures such as the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shrimad Bhagavata, and Krishna Leela, as well as the life stories of saints and great spiritual personalities.
- They are also told the stories of children such as Dhruva, Prahlada, Arjuna, and Nachiketa.
- Along with this, the children themselves enjoy Bhajans and Dhuns with the music of Dholak, Harmonium, and Manjira.
Pranayama and Meditation from an Early Age
- At Vatsalya Concept School, children are introduced to Pranayama and Meditation from an early age. When children begin practising these techniques from childhood, they can receive long-term benefits in their overall development.
- The Pranayama practices designed for adults are different from those designed for children. For example, adults may practise deeper breathing techniques, while children are not required to breathe to the same depth or intensity. Their practices are specially designed according to their age and development.
- Therefore, at Vatsalya Concept School, we ensure that Pranayama and Meditation are taught under the guidance of trained and experienced experts.
- We conduct various Meditation courses through Art of Living – Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, an organisation under the Art of Living. These courses range from basic to advanced levels.
- For children, the Art of Living offers a specially designed course called ART Excel. Every year, experienced teachers from the organisation visit Vatsalya Concept School and stay for five days to conduct this course and personally guide our students.
- During childhood, the brain goes through an important stage of development. Meditation at this early age can play a valuable role in supporting children's concentration, awareness, calmness, emotional balance, and overall development.
- Through age-appropriate Pranayama and Meditation practices under expert guidance, Vatsalya Concept School aims to provide children with valuable habits and skills that can benefit them throughout their lives.
Strong Foundation in english
- In Vatsalya Concept School, special emphasis is given on English language from KG itself.
- In Vatsalya School, great efforts are made to ensure that all the students studying in both Gujarati and English medium can read, speak and write English, Hindi and Gujarati well.
- Students are given practice of spoken English from KG class itself. Every student can speak in English, Hindi and Gujarati on stage in the mic.
- In addition to the curriculum, other best books are included in Vatsalya Concept School.
